Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Pinout, an online software service provided by EMBEDDED ENGINEER LIMITED. By using the service you agree to them.
Last updated: 25 July 2026
01The service
Pinout is an online-only tool that generates project plans, placeholder parts lists, illustrative wiring sketches, debug checklists and showcase scripts for low-voltage DC hobby electronics. It is a planning and learning aid. We do not sell components, source parts, or provide any professional engineering, installation, repair or on-site service.
02Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 to use Pinout. Users aged 13–17 must have a parent or guardian's consent, and any hands-on building must be supervised by an adult. It is not intended for children under 13.
03Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
04Subscriptions, billing and price
- Paid plans are subscriptions billed in USD through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Current plans: Breadboard (free), Maker ($16/mo or $154/yr) and Lab ($79/mo or $758/yr).
- Plans provide a monthly allowance that resets each period; unused allowance does not carry over. There are no credits or stored value.
- You authorise recurring charges until you cancel. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period.
05Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
06Acceptable use
Your use must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, the service is for low-voltage DC hobby projects only and must not be used for weapons, jammers, surveillance devices, mains wiring or anything unlawful.
07Intellectual property and your content
We and our licensors own the Pinout software, brand and site. You own the ideas and text you enter and, as between you and us, the results generated for you — see the Content License for how you may use output and the licence you grant us to operate the service.
08Disclaimer and no warranty
The service and its output are provided "as is" as a hobby reference, without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or results. Output is not professional engineering and is not to scale. See the AI Disclaimer. You are responsible for verifying everything against datasheets and for what you build.
09Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EMBEDDED ENGINEER LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for damage to components, boards or property arising from use of the service or its output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability is permitted to be capped, it is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
10Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may stop using the service at any time.
11Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts. We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. Contact support@embeddedengineer.shop with any questions.
